Carole Nelson is a jazz pianist, saxophonist and composer living in Co Carlow, Ireland. She has composed for, recorded and performed worldwide with her own band Zrazy, and has won national and international awards for her work. She is an internationally recognised songwriter, and also works as a composer for theatre, opera and film, choir director, arranger, session musician and accompanist.

Carole teaches saxophone, jazz piano and voice in Dublin city centre and the south east. She draws on 25 years of teaching experience in both classical and contemporary music, including jazz, blues, funk, pop, and world music Her approach to teaching draws on the richness of her many years as a professional musician. She enjoys the creative challenges of teaching all levels, from beginners to advanced, and offers:

• sight-reading, theory and graded examinations

• jazz harmony, improvisation

• mentoring young performers and songwriters
