Released and launched in February 2020, just ahead of the lockdown, Arboreal has since gathered some great reviews and is one of All About Jazz Magazines albums of 2020 For more about the making of Arboreal check out my Blog This is music to immerse oneself in - lyrical, open-hearted and grounded in a spirit that refuses to give up hope. |
After a debut performance at the 2015 Dublin Piano Trio Festival, the Carole Nelson Trio recorded a debut album One Day in Winter, with Carole on piano, sax and vocal, Cormac O'Brien on bass and Dominic Mullan on drums. Great reviews and an Irish tour followed in 2018. One Day In Winter, inspired by the South Carlow landscape, traces the arc of a winter’s day between the Barrow and the Blackstairs Mountains – a journey through a human landscape as much as a physical one – meditation, wonder, playfulness, contemplation of ageing and death, human warmth and companionship. |
