Cormac O'Brien: bass Dominic Mullan: drums After a debut performance at the 2015 Dublin Piano Trio Festival, the Carole Nelson Trio recorded their first album One Day in Winter. One Day In Winter, inspired by the South Carlow landscape of Carole's home, traces the arc of a winter’s day between the Barrow and the Blackstairs Mountains – a journey through a human landscape as much as a physical one – meditation, wonder, playfulness, contemplation of ageing and death, human warmth and companionship. The trio's second album Arboreal (Blackstairs Records) was made with the support of the Irish Arts Council and Carlow Arts and is a composers response to the question 'How can artists respond to the climate and ecological emergencies?'
